Our wine shops are far more than simply places to buy wine. They act as a focal point for the social life of our diverse communities; a place to relax, socialise, and catch-up with friends new and old.
At some of our shops, you can also join in evenings of wine tasting, held by our experts. We host everything from informal tasting events and educational evenings with wine producers, to our monthly wine clubs and fine wine dinners.
Recent events include matching Grand Cru Burgundy with fine foods, a relaxed exploration of an up-and-coming region, and a tutored tasting of California’s leading wineries. Enjoying top-notch food and wine is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Let’s share it.

Académie du Vin Library at Jeroboams King’s Road
The Académie du Vin Library was founded by Steven Spurrier and friends, dedicated to publishing the finest wine writing of the past, the present and the future. We’ve teamed up with The Académie du Vin Wine Library to offer two fantastic wine courses. Hosted by lively, passionate teachers, each course runs for 3 weeks and takes place in our cosy private tasting room. This is the perfect opportunity relax and discover the depths behind great wines.
A Palate for Fine Wines: How to Taste, Select and Collect fine wines
A thorough exploration of tasting skills– from blind tasting tricks to tips for improving your palate and identifying wines you’ll like. The course also covers serving advice– glassware, decanting and food pairing. Next we taste through a comparison of the key wine styles, look at trends and upcoming areas and below-the radar wines that offer great value, then show how to apply all that knowledge when navigating a wine list or retailer. Lastly we cover the essentials of collecting wine in the UK and taste through some collectable wines that illustrate the effect of vintages and how to know what makes a good one.
This has now finished, keep an eye on the website for future courses and tastings.
