Az. Agr. Paolo Cali

The Cali family first arrived in Vittoria in 1700 and over the years built up a wine estate making one of Italy’s most traditional wines, Cerrasuolo. By the time Paolo Cali, a pharmacist by profession, took over the family’s lands, there were no vines left. In the 1990’s he started on a career change and replanted the property with the two traditional varieties – Frappato and Nero d’Avola – making his first wines in 2003. Only 4000 cases are made of three different wines and in a short space of time they have become known as amongst the most perfumed and delicate wines of Vittoria.
