The French have the Greeks to thank for their viticulture. Since 600BC, with the invasion of the immigrants from Phocaea, the wine industry has been an inextricable part of French culture. Today, there are over ten distinct wine regions, with a myriad of sub-regions within each. Each of these regions produce their own unique styles of wine.
