'With the sun out and the mercury rising I've selected a few whites that'll help you cool off. The emphasis here is on clean, fresh fruit aromas and light, zesty palates. For those of you who only drink red, or perhaps to accompany an evening bbq, I've thrown in a couple of spicy Southern French reds', Chris Beverley, Jeroboams Heath Street.

Le Pas de Zarat, Minervois

A powerful and wide nose of herbs, lavender and red fruits, backed with some leather and game, leads to a palate that sings of the terroir. Great extraction, length & balance mark this as one of the finest Minervois.
