Marqus de C ceres, Rioja
Matured for 20 months in French oak barrels followed by 18-24 months in bottle prior to release. The bouquet offers immediate impact thanks to the wonderfully ripe blackberry aromatics. Notes of subtly toasty oak add to the complexity and undoubted appeal. Bold in structure and scope, the palate delivers plenty of intense dark fruited intensity. Already drinking very well it will, nevertheless, continue to evolve further over the next few years.
La Viste, Coteaux du Languedoc
Pale lemon coloured with great brightness. The nose is delicate and complex. It shows first tropical fruit, then followed by mineral hints. The palate is well balanced, between a great smoothness and a zesty citrus acidity.
Chateau d'Esclans, Cotes de Provence
Salmon coloured with aromas of red currant and raspberry. The palate has a creamy texture rarely seen in rose with great breadth and texture and dense summer fruits. Fresh and long, this is a superb example of serious rose.
