2012 Barolo, Cannubi, Giacomo Fenocchio (1 x Magnum)
The 2012 Barolo Cannubi does a great job of portraying this celebrated cru. The wine shows bold aromatic definition with a solid mouthfeel and structure to match. The bouquet reveals an unfolding succession of aromas that spans from wild berry, spice, tobacco and white truffle. The finish is silky and long.

Vinous
Fenocchio’s 2012 Barolo Cannubi is very good. But is that enough for a wine from one of Barolo’s top sites? I don’t think it is. There is lovely depth to the sweet red cherry fruit, tobacco and wild flower flavors, but the tannins are grainy, while the telltale Cannubi elegance is missing.
