2013 St Joseph Rouge, Domaine Alain Voge (12 x Bottle)
Inky ruby. Fresh blueberry, licorice and peppery spices on the perfumed nose and in the mouth. Silky, sweet and open-knit; a hint of smokiness emerges with air. In a suave, approachable style, with strong closing thrust and just a hint of fine-grained tannins adding grip.

Vinous
(sourced from a vineyard in granite-rich Mauves): Bright purple. Pungent cherry pit, blackberry and cola aromas are complemented by peppery spices and smoky minerals. Succulent and focused on the palate, offering gently sweet dark berry flavors and a violet pastille quality. Concentrated yet lively and precise, finishing tight and persistent, with very good clarity and slow-building tannins.
