Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The Terra Costantino 2014 Etna Rosso de Aetna is a beautiful and elegant wine. It stands apart from some of its peers because it appears to have already lost some of its color saturation. This vintage stands out for the darkness and density achieved by the Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes. This wine represents a 80-20 blend of both. The bouquet is finely perfumed and nuanced with wild berry, ash and toasted pistachio nut. The wine is very tannic, however, in terms of mouthfeel and this is not a point in its favor. Those tannins border on being too dry and astringent.
