2014 Pena Blanco, Bodega El Angosto, Valencia (6 x Bottle)
Straw coloured the nose shows pear, muscat grapes and notes of mandarin. Quite silky and broad on the palate, there is also a herbaceous note and lovely acidity.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate
The white 2014 Angosto is an unusual blend of equal parts of Moscatel, Sauvignon Blanc, Verdejo and Chardonnay from chalky soils. The grapes are destemmed and pressed and the clarified musts fermented with selected yeasts. After fermenting separately the wine is blended and kept in contact with the lees until bottling. To be honest, the aromatic grapes are not as prominent as you’d have expected and there are more tropical aromas intermixed with balsamic notes of bay leaf and waxy apples. The palate is medium-bodied with tropical flavors and moderate acidity. It feels a little technical and soulless. There are five or six separate lots totaling 40,000 bottles.
