2015 Meursault, Clos de la Velle, Domaine Darviot-Perrin (6 x Bottle)
The 2015 Meursault Clos de la Velle has a relatively straightforward bouquet compared to the 2013 vintage that I had tasted just the weekend before this. The palate is simple but well balanced, perhaps with more to offer than the aromatics, spicy with nutmeg and white pepper notes, a touch of smoked walnut coming through on the finish. It ends better than it begins.
