Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2021 has a clean, bright straw-yellow colour. The elegant nose opens with white flower tones, then a few more citrus touches, followed by some dried fruit, plus some confectionery with hints of vanilla. The citrus pr ofile predominates on the palate, accompanied by notes of marzipan, a touch of pear, and a delicate note reminiscent of currant tart. The palate starts fresh with a vibrant and intense acidity of great depth and persistence. It displays com plexity and delicious acidity along with a mineral sensation that makes this a tense, elegant wine.

The 2021 Chardonnay Las Pizarras hails from Aconcagua Costa, specifically a vineyard located 7 miles from the ocean planted in slate soils. It was aged for one year in 400-liter French oak barrels, 1/3 of them new. The nuanced nose presents green apple and linden-blossom notes with hints of aniseed, mint and cedar over a bed of hazelnut. In the mouth, the vibrant acidity and faintly creamy feel set the tone accompanied by a chalky, saline texture adding energy and tension bef ore the long, bold finish.
